Certainly a lot of the media sensationalized mass shootings are suicidal in nature, but those are quite rare by ratio. Almost nonexistent, and wouldn’t show up in the mapping at all.

Also, just to be clear, automatic weapons are very difficult to obtain, fabulously expensive, and haven’t been part of the equation for gun homicide since manufacture of them was banned in the early 1980s.
