Go back and read my article more closely where we critique the Siegel study. The Siegel study was right, was a good study, and did show that there is a relationship between gun ownership and gun homicide, but it’s very very feint.

Here’s an exercise for you. Pull any of these studies in your link. See if they do multivariate controls against the sorts of things Siegel does in his. If they do, pull the number Siegel pulls, and back figure how many guns you’d have to seize to save one life.

I did that here, and the results will probably surprise you:
