I actually think the Administration’s “phased re-opening plan with measurable gating criteria,” penned by the CDC, is quite good.
The best we can hope for is to ease economic restrictions as much as possible, but slowly, to bring ICU load up close to (but not exceeding) ICU capacity and hold that as long as we can. Hopefully enough herd immunity is propagated by that method, and enough economic activity is restored, to keep us from running out of food and shooting each other in July.
