I know many very smart people who think that gun homicides are correlated with gun ownership rates, because of the sorts of articles (there are many) that are similar to the Vox article we break down in the piece. They think this because they have been intentionally misled, and the misleading articles confirm their natural biases.
If you were never one of these people, who thought that gun homicides were correlated with gun ownership, then good on you. My personal sense is that you’re in the minority, and Pew polls seem to bear out that sense.
