I think you may be missing entirely what I’m saying and where I’m going with this.
Your response doesn’t refute that magically banning all firearms here in the US, would in fact eliminate 2/3 of all firearm deaths.
It wouldn’t eliminate 2/3rds of them. It would, by the research, eliminate zero female suicides as effectively all of them would migrate to other methods. It would eliminate some but certainly not all of the male suicides, as some of those suicides would migrate to other methods. It would only eliminate the, shall we say, “hasty” and “poorly thought out” suicides.
