If you’re going to pull things out, then you need to start by pulling out the USA since we’re an obvious outlier. Here’s what you get:

In fact, recent research in the USA has shown at a multivariate level that the only class of homicide that tracks with ownership rate at all, is that of domestic homicide. Every other type of (non-domestic homicide) doesn’t track with ownership rate whatsoever.

The suicide relationship is significant enough to be concerned about though. But curiously, only in men, not women. A deep dive on that is here:
