I’m not familiar with his work, but I’m definitely familiar with the system to which he’s referring. I refer to that as “the trap,” because that’s what they call it. It hit on that a bit in my series on gun violence. It’s real, and the drug war is a key fixture of it.

If someone were to posit that the drug war is R(2) racist, I think I’d wholeheartedly agree.
