In my opinion? Absolutely.

But my opinion is colored by the fact that I’ve been brought up within an R(1) framework. The people who typically adopt R(2) have been deeply indoctrinated to literally think differently than me, so it’s nigh impossible for me to convey that to them, no matter how hard I try. All I can really hope to do is describe both viewpoints, so people realize why they’re talking past each other.
