If you own a gun, that can be used by someone, on someone, with any intent.

My gun or guns, should I have any, are not community property.

Risks compound over time, and we don’t get to section off risky situations to make our situation look better.

I don’t understand at all what you’re getting at. A safely stored firearm is not going to shoot someone on its own.

I’m further told we have to accept that many guns are already out there and we don’t know how responsible those owners are.

I think irresponsibility with guns is absolutely a problem, and I think it’s tied to an overall increase in lack of individual responsibility nationwide. We as a people are becoming less responsible, and that’s a big problem across a wide range of issues. I also think that there are things we can do to reinstill and reinforce responsible behavior by gun owners.
