I’ve been mainlining your articles for the last few days as an antidote to the toxicity of trying to untangle NY’s firearm laws.

Oh buddy, good luck with that. They’re a case study in how to affect actual bans by making people walk in circles for years until they grow tired of it and just quit.

One of my Open Source Defense colleagues is up in New Jersey. OSD is running an “office hours” thing over on their website, where you can schedule a zoom call with one of us and talk about whatever you want to talk about gun related, so if you run into too many problems you could go schedule one and talk with Daiji. He’s pretty plugged in to the law up there and knows some FFLs.

Finns

Yep. All my relatives up there are Swedes.

I’ve actually wondered out loud if my aversion to the lockdown has to do with being one quarter Swedish myself. Which in turn made me wonder about how much the personality typing that would drive someone to be lockdown averse is genetic. Which in turn spills into the other Woodard related article:

That article, btw, may be reprinted in Recoil Magazine print edition soon. Depends on whether they get the art assets they’re working on done in time.
