BJ are not all premature deaths bad? So what is wrong in including accidents, suicides and police killings in the statistics.
Sure they are. The second article in the series goes deep into what those numbers actually are.
So restricting guns should logically have a great causal effect in reducing premature deaths of normal people going about their normal lives, such as school shootings, domestic disputes or police stops, which s probably the most important statistic to monitor if one could.
That is not born out at all in the statistics. Gun proliferation literally doesn’t matter, statistically speaking. And even if it did, there’s no way to get there from here, in this country, given our gun saturation limit. We must seek other methods if we are going to do anything related to any problem we identify with guns.
