It’s a pretty reasonable article all told. I would note, however, that this:

..actually makes the suicide problem worse. If a gun owner thinks that going to the doctor will get the cops called on him, he’s going to be less likely to go to the doctor. It would be a tremendous step backward on the suicide front, which as we both obviously know is the main problem. Possibly the entire problem, depending on how the problem is framed. In my mind, that one from Parkland gets an F-.
