I think Cody’s Liberator project is mostly a publicity stunt, because plastic guns simply aren’t functional. Went into that here:

Where Cody’s real juice is, in my opinion, is in the pre-loaded CNC machines. As I’m admittedly very prepper-minded, I can definitely see a use for having the milling and forging apparatus of guns decentralized, as a hedge against tyranny/war/anarchy. But in truth, we’ve already got so many guns out in circulation that we probably don’t need it anyway. In a very real sense, the Second Amendment was purely a path to get to where we are now, and it’s honestly no longer necessary. We’ve got our arms in place. It’s a done deal.
