Could that have something to do with the fact that homicide rate in Iceland is about zero, despite the “gun ownership” rate being rather high among the European countries?

That’s hard to say.

Two thirds of our gun deaths are suicides, which are just as easy to do with your guns as ours.

Black population ratio was five times more predictive of gun homicide in multivariate analyses in the USA than gun ownership rate. What’s Iceland’s black population ratio?

Gini Coefficient was five times more predictive of gun homicide in multivariate analyses in the USA than gun ownership rate. What’s Iceland’s wealth inequality?

Iceland is quite honestly beating the USA on every mathematical metric here, including ones that are far more predictive that semi auto ownership. Very difficult to draw any conclusions.

As an Icelander, do you think that you folks would start killing each other if you had semi auto handguns?
