The 2nd Amendment was not for hunting. But it was also not for shooting random bullets into the sky which might kill someone. Responsible gun owners don’t do that, and there are plenty of places in deeply red states, such as Cobb County Georgia where I live, which have ordinances that prevent people from doing so. I seriously doubt your qualms with a local ordinance have any bearing on the US Constitution, as evidenced by other local ordinances even in very conservative areas.
