The frustrating thing I find about the school shooting dialogue, is that banning certain classes of weapons won’t make them any less deadly. The same number of people would have died at Columbine if the two shooters had simply brought pistols, as in the case of Virginia Tech. Probably more, because the ammunition weighs less, and these things tend to go on until the shooters run out of bullets.
