You have described me to a tee. I’m right there with you in basically all regards. One thing worth pointing out to your left-leaning friends:

Someone cannot simultaneously think that (a) Trump is Hitler and that (b) a fascist totalitarian cannot be elected president here. The two positions are mutually exclusive. I don’t personally think Trump is Hitler — I see him more as a used car salesman who stumbled into the presidency on the back of a series of colossal political blunders by his largely garbage opponent. But what I did learn in 2016 was that a Hitler could be elected here. It’s obviously possible. So thar argument against guns has flown the coop.
